Employment: Transportation/Maintenance Worker
Under general guidance, transports pre-school and school age children to and from school and various program activities/field trips and performs maintenance to facility and grounds.

Transports children to and from school and center activities adhering to all safety regulations, maintaining safe traveling speeds no greater than the posted speed limit at ALL TIMES.

Uses all precautions to ensure safe transport of children, ensures all children are properly belted and secured in vehicle.

Performs daily maintenance checks on vehicles, provides routine maintenance, ensuring proper and safe working condition of all car parts and fluid levels. Ensures all vehicles are maintained in excellent working conditions and pass all safety standard inspections.

Ensures gasoline tank is refilled and receipts are submitted to management. Maintains accurate mileage reports and submits paper work weekly.

Provides regular maintenance of center facility, grounds and playground equipment, inspects playground equipment daily ensuring equipment is clean and operational.

Responds to maintenance work orders and files reports. Provides regular maintenance of lawn and schrubs, ensuring center grounds are neat, clean, and free of litter and debris.

Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain a clean sanitary and presentable facility to include but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, mopping, claening bathrooms, counter tops, emptying trash. etc.,.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 
Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid Georgia CDL Driver's License, and be skilled at performing minor building repairs, groundskeeping work and/or transportation and car maintenance experience.

Must be knowledgeable and adhere to safe driving practices and have no history of accidents or other traffic violations. Must have no criminal record/history and enjoy working with young children. Must have or be able to complete CPR/First Aid Training Certification.
